PL: What is my checked baggage allowance?

PL: Each passenger can purchase up to 3 checked bags of 20 kilos.

These can be purchased either when making the initial booking or can be added to a reservation via the My Booking facility up to 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. A higher baggage fee of €40 per person/per one way flight applies when checked bags are purchased after initial booking via My Booking, a Ryanair call centre or airport ticket desk. During peak travel periods, such as Christmas/Easter/Summer and on selected routes, the fee for a checked bag will be €35/£35 per person, per one way flight.

The pooling or sharing of purchased checked baggage allowances is permitted with others included on the same flight reservation when checking in together.

Fees

See our Table of fees here.

Checked baggage fees are fees due on purchased checked bags.

Fees may vary from time to time but it is the rates in force at the time you book and/or pay for your checked baggage allowance which apply.

Checked bags are charged per person, per one way flight.

Higher baggage fees apply when checked bags are purchased via a Ryanair call centre, at airport ticket desks, during peak periods and on selected routes.

Any passenger exceeding their personal checked baggage allowance will be charged for excess baggage at the rate prevailing on the day of travel. This is currently £10/€10 per kilo (or local currency equivalent).
