ARTICLE 11 – BEHAVIOUR ON THE PLANE

11.1 GENERAL

If, in our reasonable opinion:

  • your behaviour on the plane causes a danger to the plane or any person or property on it;
  • your actions prevent the crew from performing their duties properly;
  • you do not follow any instructions of the crew, including (but not limited to) those relating to smoking, drinking alcohol or taking drugs; or
  • behave in a way which we reasonably believe may anger, upset, offend, intimidate, frighten or injure any passenger or crew member;

we may take any measures we consider reasonably necessary to deal with the situation, including restraining you. You may be removed from the plane and refused a seat on any other flight, and may be prosecuted for offences you committed on the plane.

Recording or photographing our personnel, whether at the airport or onboard the plane, without their consent is strictly prohibited. Only recordings or photographs personal to You may be permitted.

11.2 LIABILITY FOR DISRUPTION

11.2.1 If, as a result of your behaviour or disruption, we divert the aircraft to offload you, you must indemnify us in relation to all reasonable and proper costs of the diversion (including our legal costs in bringing such action(s) against you).

11.2.2 In addition, we reserve the right to fine you €500 where your behaviour results in you being offloaded, including where no diversion was required.

11.2.3 We reserve all legal rights to recover costs, damages, or liabilities resulting from your actions. This includes, but is not limited to, deducting amounts from payments for unused or future flights, or the value of any gift vouchers or credit vouchers held on your behalf. Additionally, we may charge such costs, damages, or liabilities to the credit or debit card used for the booking.

11.2.4 The above is without prejudice and in addition to our right to refuse carriage under Article 7.1.

11.3 PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES

11.3.1 You can use small, portable electronic devices (weighing less than 1kg) at any time during a flight if ‘Flight mode’ is switched on. For safety reasons, laptops and larger portable electronic devices must be stowed away (in the overhead lockers or under the seat in front of you) for take-off and landing (including while taxiing to and from the runway), and at any other time requested by the captain.

11.3.2 Any device that can send or receive calls, text messages or any communication through the internet, and does not have a flight mode, must be switched off for the whole flight.

11.3.3 Hearing aids and pacemakers can be used throughout the flight..
